๐Ÿ‘ฅ How many players do we need to play?
Each team plays with six players on the field. You must have at least two female and two male players. The other two can be any gender, including gender diverse participants.


๐Ÿ”„ Can we make subs during the game?
Yes, substitutions can happen at any time between plays. All subs must have an Urban Rec account and have signed the latest waiver.


โฐ How long is the game?
Games are played in two halves of 18 to 20 minutes with a short break at halftime. Teams switch sides after the half.


๐ŸŽฏ How do we score?
A touchdown is worth six points. After scoring, you can go for one point from the five yard line, two points from the twelve yard line, or just reset for defense.


๐Ÿ“ฆ How do we start a play?
Each play begins with a snap to the quarterback. Only the quarterback can receive the snap. No centre sneak plays are allowed.


๐Ÿšซ What are the key rules for the quarterback?
The quarterback has seven seconds to throw. They cannot run past the line unless they handed off the ball and got it back. Trick plays and laterals are allowed behind the line, but only one forward pass is allowed per down.


๐Ÿ“ What is a no-running zone?
When the ball is at or inside the five yard line, you cannot run it in. You must pass forward from behind the line of scrimmage.


๐Ÿงค Can everyone catch passes?
Yes, all players are eligible to receive a pass. The quarterback can only catch a pass if they handed off the ball first. You need one foot inbounds for a legal catch.


๐Ÿ›‘ What fouls should we avoid?
No blocking, holding, tackling, or flag guarding. Defenders cannot rush before the three second count unless there was a fake handoff. All penalties are five yards and the down is replayed unless stated otherwise.


๐Ÿ When does a play end?
A play ends when the flag is pulled, a player steps out, scores, falls, or if a fumble occurs. Fumbles are not live. If a player’s flag falls off before getting the ball, they cannot legally advance.
