Spring Streetball Moore Park [Wed]
Sold Out
This is a brand new Urban Rec League so we are offering 30% off regular team registration.
Here’s some maths for you: (normally $750, now $525) play with up to 10 players – only $52 each for the entire season!
Streetball or street basketball is a variation of basketball typically played on outdoor courts, featuring significantly less formal structure and enforcement of the game's rules. In other words, it's Basketball's grungier, disorderly, tyrannical little cousin.
Think louder beats, heavier banter, and a new level of love with the game. This form of basketball will bring our your inner badass, while at the same time, bonding even better with not only your teammates, but the players on the other side of the line too.
SKILL LEVEL RECREATIONAL: This league is for all skill levels. Learner, beginner, experienced, or intermediate, we are all here for one reason, and that's to have fun, get fit, and try something different. The league will be levelled, and all teams will enjoy healthy matched competition.
TEAM SIZE: There are 5 people required on the courts at all times. Minimum 2 of either gender at any time. We recommend having a team list of at least 8 people to allow for subs, and players attendance. Click to view Team Roster Instructions and Default & Subs Policy.
INDIVIDUAL REGISTRATION (JUST PLAY): If you're looking for the next level of team management, Just Play offer individual registration into this league. They sort uniforms, manage the team’s attendance each week and ensure your season is carefree. Click here for more details and to see Just Play prices and availability.
OUTDOOR COURTS: We play on courts that are outdoor, meaning we are subject to the weather, if it too wet to play, we nofity all players by 4:30pm. You can also check social media for live updates. Any rain out’s or cancellations are added to the end of the season, so you will play 10 games, (plus a season ender), no matter what!
TEAM REGISTRATION: Team rego is payable upfront, and that fee is all you will have to pay. You can choose how many people you’d like to have on the team, and you can have as many subs as you need. To view fees for Team Registration, scroll to the bottom of this page, and choose your league.
INDIVIDUAL REGISTRATION: Don’t have a team? No problem, register as an individual, and we will match you with a team, cost is $125 per person. That is the only cost you will have for the season. Individual Player FAQs and Individual Teams Policy.
YOUR DEDICATED STAFF: Your Event Host is James, he is in charge of running the games, teaching you the rules, and coaching you and the team as needed. Your League Manager is Lindsay, contact her about changes to the schedule, or any other questions.
WHAT TO BRING: We provide all the equipment you need. Wear normal runners, active wear. Make sure you bring a black, and a white t-shirt each week. Your team do have the option to nominate a team colour, but make sure you talk to your League Manager before you order anything.
GETTING THERE: The courts are located on the corner of Anzac Parade and Lang Road, Moore Park. If you are driving there is parking onsite, but it’s limited (enter via Lang Rd). There is also parking on Robertson RD, and in the EQ. There are 2 bus stops in front of the Centre on Anzac Pde, running from the city.
YOUR LOCAL CLUBHOUSE: This league is sponsored by Bat n Ball Hotel. They offer discounts on food and drink for Urban Rec Members. Make sure you and your team get together post game for a few celebratory drinks! For a list of all the Urban Rec Clubhouses in Sydney, click here.
